For this single panel comic, I combined the artist Francis Bacon’s Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion and the drawing of an elephant by schizophrenic programmer Terry A. Davis.

Something in Terry’s use of negative space made me think of Francis’ figure, like they make me uneasy in the same way so I felt I had to try and capture that.

Went with acrylic paint because I didn’t think any other way would’ve done the figure justice. I still went over certain parts with the ol’ ink an brush to give it my own twist and tie it all together.

The text was the hardest part.

I think it looks happy 😀
